Introduction

Clinical ecology is the term used you define the study of food and environmental sensitivities which do not necessarily fit into standard mechanisms..

Food sensitivity tries to balance between man and his environment. Our aim is to identify and treat food and environmental sensitivities and to manage the underlying causes of illness which may be triggering reactions.

Food sensitivity is a negative reaction to an item that causes a symptom. It can be caused the absence of enzymes needed to digest an item or the body's response to chemicals natural or artificial. Foods contain natural chemicals.

Symptoms vary greatly and can be mistaken for the symptoms of true allergy. True allergy is an immune response and is often life threatening. Food sensitivity or intolerance can produce many symptoms i.e., rashes-eczema-joint ache-runny nose-low energy-fatigue and many more.

People are unable to adapt to modern foods and chemicals and so produce symptoms.

Every person has a list of sensitivities. Foods are natural chemicals and we are living organisms and so it follows that we will not be able to tolerate all substances..

There will always be an array of items we are sensitive to.

There may or may not be a visible symptom, but there will be a symptom somewhere to a sensitivity.

Symptoms are not usually immediate and can take up to 5 days to manifest.

It is impossible to categorise a specific food to a symptom as every body's body will react in a different way to a toxic item. The only rue way to know is to have a test here and follow the guide to identify a symptom to an item(s).

There is one group of foods that is indicated for children with ADDH/hyperactivity. This can also be tested here, at no extra cost, please make this clear when booking a test.

Obesity may also be caused by foods as they interfere with the metabolic processes. Thus diets showing no effect as the problem is not calories related.

In addition to the above proper digestion and absorption are two of the most important physiological functions in the body. If these processes are not working properly, optimal health cannot be maintained. Incomplete or disordered digestion can be a major contributor to the development of ill-health
